Requirements for the Skilled Regional Visa (subclass 887):

Applicants applying for the Skilled Regional Visa (subclass 887) must fulfill the following eligibility criteria:

  • The applicant must be below the age of 45 years,
  • Must have a related occupation,
  • The applicant must score at least 60 marks (passing marks) in the Skilled Migration Points Test,
  • Must possess appropriate skills for the occupation.

What The Visa Holder is Permitted to Do in Australia?

The holders of this visa, have the permission to stay in Australia as permanent residents but the visa can only be obtained if the applicant fulfills the criteria. The visa holder is also offered a travel facility that allows them to travel to and from Australia for 5 years after application.
